Chugach Museum

COMPANY BIO

Chugach Museum is an Alaska-based nonprofit with a mission of sharing the Chugach Native people’s way of life and knowledge. The Chugach Region – which includes Eyak (Cordova), Seward, Valdez, Port Graham, Chenega, Nanwalek (English Bay) and Tatitlek, does not currently have a dedicated cultural space. Many precious artifacts – some dating back thousands of years – are sitting in storage, tucked away in hard-to-access locations or displayed thousands of miles away in out-of-state museums.

Soon, the Chugach Museum will be breaking ground on a 6,000 sq. ft. facility! Its collection of artifacts, photographs and interviews with revered Elders will come to light, to inform and inspire the world and advance Native museum curation.

The Sundog Team collaborated with Chugach Museum staff to build a website that will grow with the facility – showcasing the progress of the building and creating a future space to guide visitors to all the information they need to experience a treasure trove of history.
